Ministries

Community Groups

Our Community Groups meet in members’ homes during the week for study, fellowship, worship, and reaching out to our community. We feel that these groups are a primary means of learning and growing in a setting that helps to encourage true life transformation. In these groups we study scripture together, eat together, worship together, pray together, encourage together, and serve together. Our Tuesday night group is working through books of the Bible and doing service projects in the community.  Our Wednesday group is currently studying David Platt’s book Radical. We also have two more groups that are being developed that we plan to establish this fall.

New Life Kids and Teens!

We believe that New Life’s parents hold the primary responsibility for the discipleship of their children. Our programs are designed to come alongside parents and help them with the task of raising their children in Christ-centered homes. Our Sunday Schools and Backyard Bible Clubs are intended to complement and enhance the efforts of our parents. Our goal is to teach, equip, and disciple all members of our families.

This fall we are beginning a new curriculum for our children’s Sunday School classes from the publishers at Children Desiring God. We have also started a new ministry this fall for teens called “Teen Life”.

In addition to our Sunday school gathering, “Teen Life” meets monthly on Friday nights for movies, games and other fun activities. We encourage teens to bring friends for fun, growing in fellowship with one another, and learning about Jesus, and why his life and death should matter to each teen life.

New Life also offers a free Parent’s Night Out on the first Friday of every month from 7-10pm. This event is open to the public and is staffed by New Life members. We offer movies, games, activities and food, in addition to a time of teaching in which we explain how Jesus can make a difference in their life.

On Sunday mornings we offer the following ministries to children:

  • Kids Sunday School for all ages beginning at 9:30am
  • Teen Life at 9:30am
  • Children and youth classes are established for pre-K, 1st -3rd grade, and 4th-7th grade
  • Nursery is available for those 2 and under during the Sunday School hour
  • Children’s Church during the worship gathering’s sermon is available for ages 3-Kindergarten
  • Nursery is available for those 2 and under during the entire Sunday morning Worship Service
Outreach & Evangelism
At New Life, we take God’s command to go and make disciples seriously as we try to strategically and compassionately share the love and message of Jesus to the our neighbors, our city, and beyond…

Life Application Studies

On Sunday mornings at 9:30am we gather for Bible studies and classroom discussion groups to learn how to apply the truth from the scriptures to our lives. Whether you have been a life-long follower of Christ, if you are new to the faith, or if you are seeking answers for your questions, our classroom studies are open to everybody. This Fall we will be starting a new study in the Book of Romans and a video-based study of Tim Keller’s Gospel In Life: Grace Changes Everything.

Men’s Ministry

Proverbs 27:17 says: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” And that in many ways captures the goal of New Life Men’s Ministry. Men from 18 to 80 gather once weekly on Mondays @ 7:30pm to encourage each other in the faith through God’s Word, prayer, and accountability. Through intensive and intentional discipleship we hope to raise up the next generation of church leaders.

Women’s Ministry

The Ladies at New Life gather regularly in various ways to minister to one another and others in the community. Through prayer, study, fellowship and service, New Life’s women seek to be faithful witnesses to God’s work of grace in their lives and their families.

Karate

New Life offers free karate classes twice a week (Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm and Saturdays from 11-12:30pm). These classes are free and open to the public. All ages welcome. Classes are taught by a member of New Life who concludes each lesson with a short teaching/bible application.
